What is the family petition?
It is a process to request and allow your relatives to live in the United States. There are two categories in which your relatives can be part of the petition. It depends on whether you are a US citizen or US permanent resident.
Immediate Relatives for American residents and citizens: Husbands, Young Children, Parents (citizens only)
American citizens: Preferred relatives
- F1: Unmarried sons and daughters. Under 21 years old.
- F3: Married sons and daughters.
- F4: Brothers or sisters 21 years or older .
US Residents: Preferred relatives
- F2A: Spouses and unmarried children under 21 years of age.
- F2B: Unmarried sons and daughters aged 21
What are the requirements of a family petition?
- Depending on the type of family preference and petition, Loigica will request documents to support the case. Fundamentally, there must be evidence of a relationship based on love.
